Youth Projects

Youth Projects (for young adults mostly age 16 – 18) are open musical activities designed to address the significant gap in opportunities available for Disabled young people transitioning from adolescence to adulthood when support and services are significantly reduced. In Summer 2024, Sonic Bothy worked in two Additional Support for Learning Schools Hollybrook Academy and Middlefield School, and a youth group with life-limiting conditions at The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.

This Summer, the young people are invited to a similar activity out with the school environment, offering opportunity for independent travel and social engagement during school holidays. We are planning to continue working with the schools and the hospice in the Summer 2025/26.

If you are a school or a support organisation and wish to be put on a waiting list, please contact us in the first instance.

Donate

We are going through an unprecedented challenge right now, and we are asking for your help.

We make a real difference to the lives of many, who say our activities are their life-line. To socially engage and be creative together – To be the artists they want to be, and have their voices heard.

Your donation, however large or small, will support us to get through the tough times. Please consider giving through a one-off, or monthly donation, or help us spread the word by sharing this video.

Together, we can make a difference. For a fairer society where anyone can take part in the arts regardless of the barriers they face.

Thank you!
