Welcome to Sonic Bothy!
Since May 2012, Sonic Bothy has been enjoying exciting adventures in sound, courtesy of the vibrant musical life of our dear Glasgow.
We began the project with a visit to the Royal Concert Hall to see renowned minimalist composer Phillip Glass and violinist Tim Fain play a series of Glass’s seminal and contemporary works.
An exciting moment for all, particularly for our pianist Andrew, who was attending a piano recital for the first time:
‘The way Philip Glass played, moving from the bottom to the top of the keyboard, and crossing hands was brilliant – it was a new way of playing for me. The concert was just great’.

We’ll be documenting some of the things we’ve been up to since May 2012 in this blog. We hope you enjoy reading!
