Inclusive contemporary music ensemble Sonic Bothy has joined forces with experimental chamber folk group The One Ensemble to present an evening of music as the conclusion of their ‘Space + Listening + Democracy’ project. This venture saw both groups working together in explorative practice-sharing sessions to examine the process of collaborative composition, particularly in the context of an environment of diverse styles of communication and varied musical backgrounds (including avant-garde, free jazz, rock, classical and early music). Short individual sets will be followed by a joint performance bringing together all the players in works drawing inspiration from traditional Taiko drumming, medieval song and much more besides. Expect improvisation combined with freely flowing melody and tight rhythmic structures, but also be prepared for the totally unexpected!

Sonic Bothy and The One Ensemble welcome all audience members as their relaxed performances are accessible for everyone. City Halls is fully wheelchair accessible and disabled & companion tickets are available.

Tickets £8/£6 available on the door or at City Halls Box before 2pm online here.
